(TODAY, APRIL 15, 2025) PALM SPRINGS, CA—Palm Springs International Piano Competition (PSIPC) announced the following 13 Competitors have advanced from the Solo Round I to the Solo Semi-Final Round of the 2025 PSIPC (Junior Division). The 13 Semi-Finalists are:

PSIPC Solo Semi-Final Round, held across two days—April 16 and 17—takes place at Temple Isaiah located in Palm Springs. This segment of the competition will determine which seven competitors advance to the Concerto Round I (on April 18; Temple Isaiah).
The four pianists who advance to the 2025 PSIPC (Junior Division) Finals will be determined from the Concerto Round I. The Final Round will take place at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert at 6pm on April 21. The Finalists will each perform a pre-selected concerto with the PSIPC Festival Orchestra under the direction of conductor, Peter Wilson.
On April 21, PSIPC will award more than $30,000 in cash prizes: $10,000 (Gold Medal); $5,000 (Silver Medal); $2,500 (Bronze Medal); and $1,000 (Medal of Honor).
The Gold Medal winner will also receive a recording with Yamaha Artist Services New York and important recital and concerto performances during the 2025-2027 seasons.
Additional prizes include The Whittier Trust Confidence Foundation Award ($1,000 sponsored by The Whittier Trust Confidence Foundation) given to the Finalist chosen by the audience on the final night of the Competition and $500 (provided by the Peggy & Don Cravens Education Funds) given to all Semi-Finalists who do not advance to the Final Round.
Twenty competitors were selected to advance to the in-person rounds of the Junior Division of the 2025 PSIPC (Solo Round I, Solo Semi-Final, Concerto Round I, and the Finals) following the online-only Qualifying Round. Chosen from a pool of nearly 80 applicants representing 10 countries, these exceptional young musicians, ages 13 to 17, hail from six nations—China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Ukraine and the United States.
Rounds held from April 16-18 at Temple Isaiah are free and open to the public. Registration is required and can be found at PSIPC.org.
The Final Round at the McCullum Theatre on April 21 is a ticketed event. Tickets range from $48-$113 and can be purchased by visiting PSIPC.org.

Four Competitors who have advanced to the Finals of the Palm Springs International Piano Competition (Junior Division) will perform a concerto from a pre-determined list of works by Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn or Schumann. More than $30,000 will be awarded across all four finalists.
