The Sound of Learning

A main objective and goal for PSIPC is to bring music education programs into our schools throughout the Coachella Valley.
PSIPC offers various concert programs to elementary, middle school and high school students by organizing young performers from the Piano Competition and other local musicians to present world-class concerts, as well as lectures and demonstrations for students. These offerings actively engage young students with music of all genres and are core to the mission of PSIPC.
In addition to these performance related educational offerings, PSIPC also offers hands-on group piano classes that teach young students the rudimentary and beginner level skills of keyboard playing, as well as introducing them to basic musical concepts of rhythm, melody, and note-learning.

Bringing Music and Education to Coachella Valley Seniors

An equally important objective and goal for PSIPC is to bring music, concerts and education programs to Senior Citizens throughout the Coachella Valley

PSIPC offers various concert programs by organizing young performers from the Piano Competition and other local musicians to present world-class concerts, as well as lectures and demonstrations for Senior Citizens. These offerings actively engage Senior Citizens with music of all genres and are core to the mission of PSIPC.
Our program provides transportation to Senior Citizens from their residential communities to recitals, concerts and to the Preliminary Competition rounds in Palm Springs and the Concerto Finals at the McCallum Theatre on the evening of April 21, 2025.

In addition to these performance offerings, PSIPC engages Senior Citizens in volunteer opportunities. Volunteers find it rewarding to engage with the 13-17 year old pianists who will be competing in the 2025 Junior International Piano Competition.
