Betsy Smalley believes in planting trees under whose shade she’ll never sit ~ which means that Betsy is always looking for opportunities to pay it forward to the next generation. This collaborative officer of the board has led PSIPC through numerous International competitions. In so doing, she has created the teams and talent necessary to ensure the competition grows and thrives for years to come.

As the Secretary, Betsy has taken an active role in perfecting PSIPC’s policies and procedures. Betsy believes that music joins all people together and exposing youth to classical and piano music is foundation for appreciating music throughout life. Betsy is a retired internal medicine physician, who now spends her free time playing golf, painting, reading and traveling.
